“This is a film about love. It was made by a group of people who believed passionately in the story they were telling. Pride and prejudice is a true story and that´s why, like a fairytale, it´s a story worth telling  again and again through the generations. On behalf of all our cast and crew I hope you enjoy watching our film as much as we enjoyed making it.”

(Joe Wright, Director)

Day 9 in the Jane Austen Tumblr Challenge: Most hated foe of a heroine. Without a doubt that would be Isabella Thorpe, the very worst kind of woman. The kind that claims to hate men (in that flirtatious, junior high school way) but at every turn is vying for their attention and sacrificing female friendship. Manipulative, materialistic, toxic, selfish. I could almost scream when she and John lie and try to keep Catherine from Henry. Fuckin’ HATE THAT.
